Maybe I’m a bit early for spring cleaning but I decided to kick off the New Year with a spot of social media decluttering and to look at my own Twitter account. Lately, it’s been getting quite difficult to spot the tweets that I want to read in my twitter feed. Yes I could, and do use  lists which help isolate tweets from people and companies that I want to follow and keep in contact with. However, I was bypassing the actual twitter feed and jumping straight to my twitter lists, so it felt like it was time to take action. I wanted to step back and think about why I was using Twitter.

Who was I following and why?  

• Did they share interesting stuff that I found useful?
• Did they have real conversations?
• Did they make me smile?
