Summify is a clever social news summary platform that works out what news is important to you based on what you and your friends read.  It collates information, tweets and shares from friends and people you are connected to and summarises the results into an email and an optional tweet. Since being acquired by Twitter, Summify has closed down any new sign-ups to the site but is continuing to offer, for the moment at least, some limited services. 

Twitter acquired Tweetdeck in the middle of 2011 and has since made some changes to the third party platform which has changed the site for me- making it less user friendly.  So I’m now wondering what changes they‘re going to make to Summify? In the meantime I’ve been looking at other social news summary tools.
